NOTICE OF ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF QUALIFYING
Pursuant to Section 30-2 of the City of West Palm Beach Code of Ordinances
And Ordinance No. 4962-21
The City of West Palm Beach will hold a General Municipal Election on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, and Run-off Election, if necessary, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of electing three City Commission seats: one in District 1, one in District 3, and one in District 5. Persons seeking election may qualify using the Alternative Method by petitions with the City Clerk beginning on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, and ending on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Qualifying is held during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
All persons seeking election as a City Commissioner shall be a qualified elector of the City and shall be a resident of the district from which he or she is to be elected. A candidate for the office of City Commissioner shall have continuously resided during the six-month period immediately prior to the date of election in the respective district from which the candidate seeks to qualify for election. The City Commissioners are elected at-large on a nonpartisan basis by a citywide vote.
